Maruosa invades NYC, with I.B.N. artists supporting!! 3/14 at The Charleston.

18 02 2010

That’s right folks. Get your helmets on, becasue the mighty Maruosa is coming to drop riff after ruined riff on your face and slam beat after cut-up beat down your throat. Immigrant Breast Nest is teaming up with Barcore to present this EXCLUSIVE NYC appearance by Japan’s master of extreme laptop shredding at The Charleston on Sunday, March 14.

Opening up the night, we’ll have the wrecked digital stylings of our very own David B. Applegate, followed by NYC hard electronics mainstays, Speak Onion and Digit216. It will be a night of screaming bits and bL00r. So head over to The Charleston, grab some free pizza, and blow up with us. We’ll be knocking down buildings all night long. Trust.

Some video from Sat. at Coco66!

8 02 2010

Saturday was a monster party, as you might have guessed. Stank funk bludgeoned by relentless hardcore morphing into mad science blips all ruined by noisy breaks. Typical of us at I.B.N. Thanks a billion to Naetron, Insect Deli, Joy Through Noise, and Coco66 for the killer PA.

Check out some videos!

Insect Deli really murdered everything in the world. Here’s a taste:

And Speak Onion did the usual insane ruckus. Seeing is believing:

And check out this later portion of the set, including post-set dance moves (for the ladies). What are those samples he’s dropping in there? Sounds like tru necro kvlt black metal grymness, right? Well, I’ve said too much.

This is what an I.B.N. party is like. Just so you know. Stay tuned for more!

So, we have good news and bad news about Friday’s show. Which do you want first? The bad news? Last night’s IBN launch party. . .

5 04 2009

was spectacular!!

It couldn’t possibly have gone better. Everyone on the bill stepped way up and brought their A-game. The tough thing now is to make every day of IBN’s existence as completely awesome as the first. We’ll be working on that.

In the Visuals section, you can find videos of David B. Applegate and Speak Onion and pics from the night. Relive the magic, or catch up on it if you missed it.

Thanks a milli to bros, Rokhausen and Xrin Arms for being out to celebrate with the IBN crew, and really representing hard. And total shoutouts to Julio and Coco66 for giving us a venue with a sound system and light show that was blown out enough to handle all the amazingness that IBN has to offer. And especially thanks to everyone who came to the show and banged out with us.

What an awesome way to kick this all off, and get ready for lots more from IBN. Believe that.
