Thermometerometer- Overcoming Adversity City, Digital Leak!

12 11 2009

oac3

We are rewarding, you, the Immigrant Breast Nest faithful, with the first access to the brand-newest Thermometerometer styles, in digital form, before the CDs are even ready to print. Get down on it.

Thermometerometer returns with Overcoming Adversity City, a nightmare romp through the cracked prisms of doom metal, electronic improvisation, tricked-out beats, and the good, old-fashioned weirdness for which they’re best known. After spending its earliest days getting shapes, Thermometerometer has now begun to break them down into micro-shapes and colored dust from which they form the crayons responsible for drawing these seven slabs of electrified sonic abstraction. Need an edgy doom fix? Hear Seventeen Million Dollar Block and Arcane Arabic Soccer Magick. Want some bombed out spastic bass & drum machine abuse? Please enjoy Total Breakdance Society and Ironic Ethnicity City. Or, if you’re inclined toward digital wrecks & noisy eclectic beat disruptions, check out Ticking Amazing and Mad Derelict. No matter where your mind wanders on the spectrum of fresh electronic sounds, T-MOM is there with something you’ve not yet imagined.

Glowing T-MOM review in Connexion Bizarre

10 11 2009

Connexion Bizarre, one of the finest out-there electronic music hubs on the internet, has reviewed Thermometerometer’s debut record, Who measure’s the measurers?.

cover

About Who measure’s the measurers? CB says, “Flips, clicks, drones, buzzes, pops and even glitches are thrown together and have things done to them that they could never have imagined in their wildest nightmares…” and “‘Who measures the measurers?’ retains far more accessibility to a general audience than most projects this avant-garde would manage to…”

Accessibility? Ok, if you say so!

This comes just in time to get the people ready for the latest and greatest T-MOM offering, to be released this month, Overcoming Adversity City. It will dagger your ears.

a_break_machinations_cover

Mad beat professor Morneau is cloning and re-sequencing rhythmic DNA chains, mutating the groove and building up an army of seething breaks to unleash from university halls to street gutters. Get ready for the monocle to fall out of your eye when this shit drops. Class is in session, fools; pay attention and you might learn something.

Click the album cover or go to the release page to download and hear the call of mutating beats.

Also, don’t miss the release/listening party for this record tomorrow at Hell Gate Social!

Blind Moany Wat featured on Free Albums Galore!

5 11 2009

The Free Albums Galore blog, which highlights only the finest free music from all over the internet, has featured IBN’s David B. Applegate project Blind Moany Wat in its electronica section.  Earning a favorable comparison to experimental music luminary DJ Spooky, the Free Albums Galore folks extol: “those who like their electronic music scratching the boundaries will find this interesting.”  Interesting like a porch weevil beating a wrecked tattoo on your eardrum with six legs & its head, ya heard?  Get the record directly from IBN here and check out the Free Albums Galore blog review here.

21 10 2009

Attention I.B.N. faithful,

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Immigrant Breast Nest show on 10/23/09 has been canceled.

It appears as though several trick ass marks have infiltrated Brooklyn’s underground and have been working around the clock to thwart our efforts to bring you the finest in new, weird electronic sounds.  Fear not!  We’ve dispatched agents disguised as mark ass tricks to eliminate the trick ass marks operating against us.  As soon as we receive word their mission has been successful we’ll be back with another show to upset your balance (new dance) & chew on your inner-ear.

We’ll see you soon,
