Immigrant Breast Nest 2013 in Review Mix

31 12 2013

Here is a mix of our favorite pieces presented on Immigrant Breast Nest in 2013. This mix touches on what I.B.N. did best in 2013; the booming, broken technoise from David B. Applegate, heavy experimental from David Morneau and Blind Moany Wat, ultra-shredded harshness from Mysterious House, songs seething with dread from Mercy Choir and Xrin Arms, furious and unconventional breakcore from Speak Onion and Laskfar Vortok, and enn{kdog absolutely exploding the foundations of electronic music to discover new forms. And that’s just what fits into a 38-minute mix. Discover everything at www.immigrantbreastnest.com

Live Video and Audio Plus New Remix for Charity from Speak Onion

26 11 2013

Speak Onion: Tiger Fight LIVE at Super Collider II from Matt Mangigs on Vimeo.

Plenty of Speak Onion news right now. First, Matt Mangigs shot two amazing live videos with full quality sound for Tiger Fight (remix) and 51 States at the Super Collider II party in Philadelphia. This is definitely the closest you’ll get to being there from the comfort of your own screen.

Wait, Tiger Fight (remix)? Yes, that’s a new drum’n’noise remix of the Tiger Fight from Speak Onion & Mercy Choir’s Victoria EP. And it’s just been released on Somatic Responses’ new compilation Photon Collisions benefitting charities for cancer research and child abuse prevention. This compilation is packed with nearly 4 hours of all of the most interesting current underground electronic music of all genres. Tons of great music for a great cause, so there’s every reason to download and enjoy.

And one last item, Speak Onion’s full live set from Barcore in New York City is available for streaming and download.

Enjoy all the fine new Speak Onion material and keep an eye out for Speak Onion live dates in a city near you.

Speak Onion- Wakeless Video Premiere on Grindthieves

25 02 2013

Grindthieves premieres the video for Speak Onion’s Wakeless, the first new track from the forthcoming Swallower album. The video was created by Bruzed, who has been performing live visuals along with Speak Onion’s recent live performances. It is a visual reflection the chaos and dark atmosphere inherent in industrial and breakcore for which Speak Onion has become known.

Swallower will be released via Immigrant Breast Nest on February 26, 2013.

The End Is Here. Elevator Machine Room Brings B’ak’tun Waning (and existence) To A Close

21 12 2012

12_december

It’s here. The End. And whether it’s fiery and violent, or quick like turning out the light, Elevator Machine Room brings us the perfect sound track in The Morning After. Experimental soundscapes, deep bass, and spoken word usher through the final steps of this year-long eschatological path, and make it enjoyable, too.

Since today is our last day on Earth, we at Immigrant Breast Nest want to say that the B’ak’tun Waning project has been an absolute pleasure to work on, with each artist approaching the project in a fresh and inventive way and creating absolutely brilliant work. Particular thanks go to David Morneau for curating, organizing, and inventing the project. As pre-apocalyptic rituals go, we couldn’t have asked for better.

See you all on the other side. If there is one.

Latest B’ak’tun Waning track from Joy Through Noise and new I.B.N. web stuff!

21 05 2012

Joy Through Noise bangs the latest apocalyptic industrial through your speakers with May’s installment of B’ak’tun Waning, Saturn. Grinding rhythms, scalding noise blasts, and deep bass remind you that the apocalypse isn’t pretty, although it can be a lot of fun. Get it from our new bandcamp page:
http://immigrantbreastnest.bandcamp.com/track/saturn

Oh, yes, you may have noticed that we’ve moved all our releases to bandcamp and that http://www.immigrantbreastnest.com/ now points to the releases! All of your Immigrant Breast Nest favorites are there and we look forward to putting up a ton more great music for you. Preview the entire I.B.N. catalog, download it, listen to it on the bus. And then there’s this page, which is the blog/news area. You can navigate between the two using the handy header at the top. Releases–>bandcamp. Blog–>blog. You’ll get the hang of it, don’t worry. And if you don’t, it’s ok, the world will be over in a few short months anyway.
