Immigrant Breast Nest and Dead Language Records jointly and proudly present Symposia, a new E.P. from Mercy Choir with Speak Onion. These three songs were performed by Mercy Choir, and then run through the ringer by Speak Onion resulting in sounds that are unlike either of the two projects on their own. Mercy Choir’s guitars drive the songs, while Speak Onion’s processed noise floats above and bass throbs below, all tied together by the signature vocal style that marks all of Mercy Choir’s work. This E.P. brings both artists out of their element and into a new territory, which is pretty much the best possible result of any collaboration.
